Should Americans Give Up Freedoms in Time of War?

I think that true Americans should have to give up personal freedoms during war, to an extent. I don't think that Americans should give up all of their personal freedoms during the war, especially because we have a military whom should be the ones worried about the war and making sacrifices. I think that if America is in need of a draft that most Americans should put aside their personal views and join the military. If the country is in a time of desperate need then I think that Americans should put aside some of their personal freedoms to help the country. Sometimes, I think that people are expected to do things because of a war, but I think that it should only be if the country is desperate for help.
